I’m very flattered to have inspired a shop-a-thon and completely understand- I’m also obsessed with tweaking my hair, pretty cosmetics and grooming products! Unlike fashion, lingerie never goes out of style (and if it did, who would judge you anyway? Certainly not the person lucky enough to see you in it). Also, if you buy quality and hand-wash with a gentle soap- and I do mean HANDWASH, not the ‘handwash’ setting on the washing machine- they will last for quite a few years. So don’t feel too guilty, it’s worth it ;-) x T

Usually to alter/make lingerie you need a specific machine, or at least certain needles. I don’t have either of these. But me (and my Mum!) are pretty nifty with a regular machine and we either take in seams with that or make small tweaks by hand-sewing. x T

I’ve worked as a model for the past 11years and have had a lingerie obsession for even longer. Luckily, most of the stuff I model IS lingerie, so they feed each other I guess! x T

Bendon black lace bra and brief. A good example of a day-to-day black lace set. Extremely comfortable, supportive and well-cut, yet sexy and classically ‘black lacey’ enough to be able to get your gear off a feel pretty raunch. i.e., these babies are ver.sa.tile!. Also, you could pretty much wear this set under any casual outfit. 8.5/10. 

Bendon black lace bra and brief. A good example of a day-to-day black lace set. Extremely comfortable, supportive and well-cut, yet sexy and classically ‘black lacey’ enough to be able to get your gear off a feel pretty raunch. i.e., these babies are ver.sa.tile!. Fifi Chachnil bra, thong and suspender belt. The beautiful dark purple silk and lemon yellow lace trim of this set is what sold it to me. Stunning. Adorable. Girlish and frou-frou, but still a little dark and sexy. Usual Fifi-cut bra:i.e., amazing low-cut cleavage and support. Beautiful soft silk and lace, like butter. But I think I’ve worn this too much as it’s faded within an inch of it’s life in spite of careful hand washing and the trim is not in the best condition now. All three pieces are insanely comfortable. This was perfect when I bought it a 10/10 in fact, now it’s a around an 8.5/10. Love, love, love this though, a total dream set.

Elegantly Scant bra and brazilian knicker. Adore the perfect baby blue shade of this set, in a fine mesh with tiny polka dot pattern. And the beige/nude trim is light and sweet without being saccharine. The bra gives great shape and lift without being padded and the brazilian brief is cute but rides up a bit. This tends to be why always prefer a bikini cut personally, but each to their own. Maybe this bottom is really comfy on different shaped girls, but me, less so. Like I said, the bra is great though and this is wearable and adorable without being OTT. 7.5/10

Agent Provocateur ‘Talma’ Bra and Thong. One of my all-time favourite sets. A plum taffeta with tiny white polka dots and a raspberry shot silk trim and bow detail. The fabric does not stretch but this does not compromise fit (which is perfect) as it has just this right amount of ruching. It’s supportive, gives just a good amount of cleavage without too much volume in the cups and feels lovely. The thong is also very comfortable. This is first and foremost luxe, but also very wearable. I would be in heaven if this had a suspender or waspie. …Which did happen when this set was later reproduced in navy. 9/10.

Wild Things garter skirt (and Jonathan Aston seamed stay-up stockings). A long-owned item that’s not been worn for a while (8+ years) is enjoying a little resurgence. It’s cute and kinda slutty at the same time. This is the stuff you put on for cheap role-play games. It doesn’t actually hold stockings up, so requires stay ups. But it’s frills and from-frou shape are enough that you can add basic black lingerie and it’s the centrepiece, or a whole bunch of dark but girly OTT pieces and accessories and really roll with it. Definitely not for daywear and more for special appearances but it was very cheap and it’s ass-skimming skirt appeal seems to tickle some people’s fancy (though not necessarily mine). 6/10.

This is a very comfortable cut, even if the fabric and details aren’t extremely so, but it’s just a little frumpy for my personal liking. This would be a great, affordable day-to-day option for girl’s with a bigger bust as the bra offers good coverage and support. Being a fluctuator i’m going to put this on the back burner til it’s more necessary. 6.5/10
